At the opening ceremony, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said that the price of the standard ‘Su7’ model of the car is 215,900 yuan or 29,872 dollars. And the price of the Max version has been fixed at 2 lakh 99 thousand 990 yuan.

The company also said that they received more than 50,000 orders for the car within just 27 minutes of unveiling.

Xiaomi claims that the new car has super electric motor technology, which will allow it to accelerate faster than electric cars from Tesla and other companies. Besides, Xiaomi mobile users will also get special benefits in this car. Some more technologies will be included; which has never been seen before in China..

Meanwhile, through this, Xiaomi entered into competition with Elon Musk’s car maker Tesla. Besides, there is another Chinese company BYD in the competition. By the end of 2023, BYD has overtaken Tesla to become the top seller of electric cars. The company has sold a record 5 lakh 25 thousand 409 electric cars in the last three months. At the same time Tesla sold 484 thousand 507 cars.

Overall, BYD has sold a record 3 million vehicles worldwide in 2023; Which is 62 percent more than 2022. The company’s vehicle sales figures also include 1.44 million plug-in hybrid vehicles.
